The research team at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Trust, in association with the University of Liverpool, are conducting a study into the risk of developing Behçet’s (and other conditions) in children who go to their GP with mouth ulcers. They would like to invite anyone with Behçet’s, of any current age, who experienced their first Behçet’s symptom(s) while under the age of 18, to participate in the study by completing a short survey. They also invite parents or guardians of people with Behçet’s who first experienced Behçet’s symptoms under the age of 18 to complete the survey. The aim of the study is to help gain a better understanding of what associated factors put people at risk of developing Behçet’s. This will hopefully improve services for those children and young people who are at the highest risk and also allow research to be tailored to the patients it is hoping to help. Read more and complete the survey here. Please note the survey closes this Friday 20 May 2022. |
