Behçet’s UK Coast Path Challenge 2026

The Behçet's UK Coast Path Challenge 2026. This is a circular badge-style logo featuring a scenic coastal landscape. With a wooden gate in the foreground, a winding footpath leading along green clifftops overlooking the blue sea. Above the scene is a banner with the “Behçet’s UK” logo. Around the scene is a outer ring in dark blue with the text “Coast Path Challenge 2026”. Alongside the logo is text about the challenge which reads: “From 01 June 2026 to 31 August 2026. Sign up now, until 31 July 2026. Cost is free and you can set any fundraising target. Choose your distance from 12.6 miles to 629.6 miles.”

Whether you’re walking, cycling, pushing, swimming, or rolling – every mile you move brings real impact.

What is the challenge?

The Behçet’s UK Coast Path Challenge 2026 is a virtual event inspired by the iconic South West Coast Path – one of the UK’s most scenic (and demanding) routes.

The real trail includes over 115,000 feet of climbing, but in this challenge, you can complete your miles wherever and however you like: at home, outdoors, at the gym, or around your local area.

No hills are required – unless you want them!

How it works

1. Choose how you move

You can take part in any way that suits your lifestyle. Any activity counts, as long as you are powering yourself – whether you walk, run, cycle, swim, row, push a wheelchair, scoot, or skate.

2. Pick your virtual route

Choose a distance that fits your level of fitness and the time you have available.

Up to 3 miles per week
12.6 miles – Salcombe to Torcross
20.9 miles – Minehead to Lynmouth
30.2 miles – Perranporth to St Ives
42.6 miles – Portland Bill to Swanage

3–7 miles per week
51.0 miles – Dartmouth to Sidmouth
75.4 miles – Woolacombe to Bude
100.6 miles – Plymouth to Exmouth

Over 11 miles per week
153.9 miles – Land’s End to Plymouth
209.3 miles – Falmouth to Lyme Regis
301.1 miles – Minehead to Lizard Point
629.6 miles – Minehead to Poole (full path)

3. Complete your challenge

You have complete flexibility in how you complete your challenge. You can spread your miles over the full 14 weeks, complete it in just a few weeks, or even finish in a single day.

Every mile counts, whether it’s a jog with your dog, a cycle to a friend’s house, a walk to the shops, or a home workout.

You can also complete them at home in your garden or using gym equipment, whether that’s at home or in a local gym.

The goal is to build up your miles over the course of the challenge while enjoying the journey and supporting Behçet’s UK.

How do I track my miles?

You can track your progress with apps such as Strava, which can link directly to your JustGiving page. Alternatively, you can update your mileage manually on your fundraising page or use a printed tracker, which we can provide.

Can I change my challenge after I have registered?

Yes. Simply email us at [email protected] and we’ll update your goal.

What happens if I need to cancel or I’m not able to complete my challenge?

Don’t worry! Get in touch and we’ll work with you to find the best way to celebrate your achievements, even if you can’t complete your original goal.  Any funds raised must still be donated in line with the challenge terms and conditions.

Yes, children and young people are very welcome to take part. Anyone under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian, who will also supervise their participation.

Can I take part as part of a team?

Yes. You can take on the challenge alongside friends, family, or colleagues. You may choose to combine your efforts to tackle a longer route together, keep each other company on the same virtual route, or even compete against each other.

Each participant must register individually to receive their own rewards, though you can link your fundraising pages as a team on JustGiving.

If you fundraise as a team, each person must still meet their individual fundraising target to receive their medal or T-shirt/vest.

How do I fundraise?

The easiest way is via JustGiving. Once registered, we’ll guide you through setting up your fundraising page and linking it to the event.
