Thanks to Awards for All Northern Ireland, the Behçet’s group in Northern Ireland were able to hold a Family Day in Belfast on 15 July 2017 to bring together families for mutual support, information sharing and a bit of fun too.
They held the day at the wonderfully inclusive Belfast Activity Centre. Seven families came along, including an amazing guide dog called Flossy. They had two great instructors for the day and the activity centre to themselves. They had time to chat to old friends and new. Everyone took part in lots of fun activities, including team games, climbing, archery and indoor caving. They finished off the day with a session on the African drums or djembe.
